Artwork not showing

I'm trying to get the artwork for space invaders to show up. I downloaded the invaders.zip file from Mr. Do that looks like it should include everything including the lay file. I unzip that and dump it in my artwork folder. When I start space invaders I still see no artwork. I hit tab and went into the settings for space invaders and changed the three artwork entries to show. Exited and restarted mame still no artwork. I'm using mame 118 with the default artwork settings in the mame.ini file. I have got this working before on another machine but I'm not having any luck. I tried my hi score diff 118 version and a brand new 118 install and still no luck. I know this is supposed to be easy I must be missing something.

Yeah, owning a MAME cab only leads to owning real ones. MAME just isn't good enough. It's a gateway drug.

Don't unzip it. I think that's the problem (been a while since I've had to mess with that sort of stuff, though)
