any software allows  to play CD or DVD without exiting to windows?  tried xlobby and freebox, don't think there is a way to do it.

I think you are asking what program or front end can react when you enter a DVD or a CD into a drive and prompt you to play it without you having to exit the program and run everything separately through windows. Xlobby can definitely do this, there is a setting where you can assign an event to an insert of a CD or DVD. Many of the skins available already have a pop up windows you just may need to adjust the setup to make it work. Check over at the xlobby forums and some of the experts there can definitely help you get that set up properly.
