Renaming game controllers in Windows XP
«
on:

I have about 12 USB controllers hooked up to my MAME cab all via USB. All controllers work fine, but in the Game Controller panel the names are duplicated.
Retro
Retro
Gene
Gene
etc.
etc.
How would I go about renaming these to like Retro1/Retro2 and Gene1/Gene2? This way I can quickly identify what controller belongs to what player when assigning controls in various emulators?
I found
this reference for Win2k, but in Windows XP if you right click you don't get an option to re-name only "What's This?".
