Is this a ridiculous suggestion!? Xbox MAME Controls

Would this work...

I have a PS/2 Keyboard Hack for arcade controls...

If I was to purchase one of these...

and then put it into one of these -


and then plug it in - would I be able to get the controls to function with the Xbox emulators? I've heard USB keyboards work with modded Xboxes (though I haven't tried it myself yet), so there is a chance this could work?

Does xbox MAME support a keyboard? If so, why don't you just plug directly in the XBOX usb port?

Xbox's don't have standard USB ports.

If I remember right the xbox emulators like FBAX and MAMEoX didn't work with my usb keyboard.

I recommend you buy one of these instead:

I think it should work as long as you are using a ps/2 keyboard.

I'll try it and see later but I don't think I'll go for the Ultimarc solution - a bit pricey for just over £30. I should be getting an X-Arcade stick soon (hopefully) so will probably just buy the Xbox adaptor for that!
