How to remove Ikari style (LS-30) joysticks?
« on: January 04, 2009, 03:07:22 pm »
I just aquired a complete Ikari III control panel with joysticks, and am looking to mount them
in a custom CP.  One problem, I cant seem to find the trick to remove them....
I have searched the forums, and found reference to removing the E-clips, which I have done,
but that just seems to hold them tight together.  I believe that I need to remove the knob.
I also found a reference to a tool needed to remove the center cap.
I tried to stick a bent coathanger in from the back of the knob, but it doesnt seem to push in
far enough to reach the center cap.
Any advice before I use more force than necessary?
Thanks!

Bender
