Video redemption machines that can be played via Mame
« on: December 28, 2008, 05:23:32 pm »
Hello all,

I have serviced/dismantled a few redemption machines and only recently came across those that were video only.

For a while now I have Capcom Bowling (both the real PCB version and in Mame), and this video game can be set up as a redemption machine, using a ticket dispenser.

I do have ticket dispensers and know someone that prints custom tickets.  So I thought it would be a cool idea to set up a machine that would print out "fortune cookie" type tickets for my party guests.

The other night I made a discovery that in Mame, when I play Capcom Bowling, one of the keyboard lamps flash at certain points in the game.   I noticed this same thing happening with Wheel of Fortune and also Ameri-Darts (which I know is also a ticket dispensing machine IRL).

Thus it got me to thinking how many other video/redemption games there are out there that can be run via Mame.

Is there a site that has list of these video games?  If not, then perhaps those with a good memory could list a few games.

I do remember seeing a video/redemption game in a Dave & Busters that was a fishing game, but the title escapes me at the moment.

Thanx,
Geo
