Any games for little kids?

My cab isn't done getting painted and such yet but I put it back together for some play time since we are hosting various parties over the next couple days.

My daughter is about 3.5 and some of the other kids might be as high as 5-6.  I'm wondering if there's any games out there that are just for fun that she could play.  Anyone know anything for that young of a range?  Or even just something like a trainer where you never die and you just make something move around the screen as you move the joystick.

World Class Bowling if you have a trackball. Just roll the ball and something happens whether you get a strike or not.
A gutter ball shows a toilet flushing the ball, which seems to be endless hilarity for that age, so the worse they do, the more fun they have.

Try "Ripper Ribbit".  It's a simple, one button 'redemption' game that gives you 'tickets' when you finish.

Another favorite is "Mario Paint" on SNES.  You need a trackball for that one though.

Some newer vertical shooters have "Invincibility ON" option in the service menu.  1944 does off the top of my head.

So just put in a credit and let her play to the end of the game.

Ditto.  Also, Golden Tee for when they are slightly older 4 or 5+.   Pac-Man is always good.  Puzzle Bobble is a good one too.  Super Mario War gets a lot of play by my children.

Tempest and Cameltry are good, if you have a spinner.
The kids like to just spin the spinner around.

I'd second Puzzle Bobble for joystick.

Crystal Castles and Quantum are good if you have a trackball.

They aren't going to do well by OUR standards on any of those, but they will have fun just making the machine do something.

Marble Madness if you have a trackball FTW. If you dont have a trackball, the NES version played OK with the D-pad, so would be a good thing for kids to play with a joystick.

My son loved it too when he was 4 years old. Extra bonus is that they can play together.

He liked Donkey Kong and Galaga too, but they were a bit too difficult. He didn't like dying so often. So we would usually play together. For instance on Galaga he would fire and i would steer the ship.

I got him a Wii instead and that works a lot better.

there's a game called "Capcom Sports Club" which is a multi-sport game that consists of Smash Stars (Tennis), Dunk Stars (Basketball), and Kick Stars (Football/Soccer).

On my A to Z journey through MAME (I'm in the G's at the moment), that one was a nice surprise. I need to go back and play it some more.

One game the wife and kids enjoy is Pigout.  I never saw that one in the arcades but it is a fast, easy game using a joystick and buttons.  Up to three player fun.

Either Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle games are great, my son and the nextdoor neighbor like X-Men.

There's a company, Moppet Video, that released a bunch of games, which are available in Mame, that were specifically designed with young kids in mind.  Leprechaun, Pirate Treasure, Noah's Ark, and Tugboat.  They are old (early '80s) and very simple but I guess thats what makes them good for kids.  I wouldn't call them great games but might be worth a try for real young kids.
Also, Pigout was mention which is a fun game and another one is Peter Pack Rat.

Peter Pack Rat was another of those MAME finds I never saw in arcades. A great game with great graphics. A little tough, but that's how they should be.
