forum for deals or a separate sticky
« on: December 25, 2008, 10:18:09 pm »
I'm pretty sure that everyone knows websites like fat wallet or bens bargains, I was wondering though if it would be a good idea to introduce some sticky or  even a separate [thrifty gamer] forum that would help us find deals that would be related to our hobby. I'm talking about deals with video cards, motherboards, cpus, memory, monitors, tvs etc.
Example why it would be good. I'm looking for a new good video card, I saw a good deal and almost overlooked it, that it has hdmi output not svideo, which I don't think would go to well with my tv. (btw I think svideo out might be harder and harder to get on a video card)
I was thinking to post this in for sale/buy/trade but here is bigger audience, if it's wrong forum, then please move this post.

Actually, the proper place would be in Website Discussion. ;)

It's been discussed before, but nothing came of it.

That's too bad. I'm pretty sure some people are more computer savvy than others and could recommend good deal if they saw one. Maybe one day.

ive started a uk bargains thread which seems to work ok, start a thread for bargains you see and keep posting, if it works others will post in it too and it will stay at the top of the forums.
stickys dont always get noticed anyway, theyre always at the top and you get used to them being there and overlook them.

got COLOR codes from projects, post them here

add stuff to the uk wiki section
