Help 4 Player CP (expecially for RandyT and his KeyWiz40-ST)
« on: December 25, 2008, 06:57:52 pm »
Hi to all i'm building a 4 player CP with  7 button for 1-2 player and 4 for 3-4 player plus pause and esc.
I'm interested in KeyWiz40-ST  but it has only 40 direct input while i've to use 50 direct input.
There is a way to configure it or i've to buy ipac4 (i prefer KeyWiz40) ?

Thanks a lot

How about running p1 and p2s buttons (5,6,7) to p3 and p4 (2,3,4) in parallel but having a switch control the ground, basically you would flip a switch and it would "give" the buttons to p3&4.

I don't really know if that made any sense but I've done the same thing on my CP, but using 2 joysticks and switching between them.

Basically its more of just a config in MAME.

A switched ground is also really good to keep little kids from actually pressing any buttons when "playing" next to you.

Great answer i've not think about this solution.
Easy and perfet infact all games with four player have only four botton each.
Also very interesting for kids even i've no child but in the future maybe.

Thanks a lot
