Getting Outfoxies to work
« on: December 18, 2008, 06:48:41 pm »

I  have the 128b MAME emulator, the 8.2 meg Outfoxies rom and the 267kb
Japanese version rom.

I says it may be missing one or more roms or chd images.  I'm not familiar with
chd files so I could be missing something obvious.

Thanks.

CHD = compress hard drive.  (image of the HD from the original game)

Where do you find them?  :dunno

I thought CHD stood for that too, apparently it actually stands for Compressed Hunks of Data ; since its not just hard drives but CD images as well
If you're replying to a troll you are part of the problem.
I also need to follow this advice. Ignore or report, don't reply.

And laserdisks.  ;D

FWIW, FYI, it started as standing for "compressed hard drive", but was changed to "compressed hunks of data" soon after when CDs and laserdisks were remarked to also exist and would be added in the future (now past).

I'm able to play this game using MAME .110; maybe you could get a "roll-back" verison of the rom? Or use CLRmamePRO?
So a leper walks into a bar and as he gets his beer, a finger falls off. The bartender who is serving him turns and pukes all over the place. The leper, feeling bad, says, "Was it my finger falling off?" The bartender turns to him and says, "No, it's the guy dipping chips into your back."
