setting up daphne with and interactive dvd

hi had daphne for over 3 years, tryed to get cliff hanger, but it shows black screen and a beep everyso often, even with other games
anyone anyideas what im doing wrong, its loader 1.2

ive not got the dragons lairs but ive got the interactive dvds i got last year as a xmas present, would i be able to play them on my cab?

My guess the path is not set for the DVD, or you do not have a Mpeg2 decoder installed.

A while ago I made an image from my Super Don Quixote Laserdisc capture, and managed to get the file size down to 500mb, to work on my bartop via Flash.  I used Dirk for the front end and it worked perfectly for me.

I have seen Dragon's Lair and Space Ace sell on eBay for less than $10.  Maybe you should go that route in case your source is corrupted.  Google Dirk or go ask the Daphne Devs for more help.

Also you need to use Daphne with your main display, otherwise it will remain black and play music and beep.

Are you sure your being patient enough? Cause cliff hanger is supposed to sit at black screen and beep its takes 15-20 seconds to start.  If you have the old mpegs you can still play em without the disc

You can't download Cliffhanger from the new loader.  They do not have the rights to make this possible.  If you have an original rip of the LD, you can tell daphne loader how to find the frame file and get it running.  I actually have Mala running daphne and by-assing daphne loader.  the new daphne loader always tries to get on-line....can't stand that...

Yeah, and before it starts downloading the rest of the video files I don't have yet, it tries to update itself, and always fails...Not sure what's causing that.
