Bonus Game competition: MAME Robotron 2084 REMAPPED

I had an idea to make Robotron a little ...different... (see very last point below)

Use:

- parent set (robotron - solid blue label) , default settings, no cheats

- use any mame version or variant you wish

- last day is December 29 (around midnight Pacific time)
 
- high score wins (a tie means there's more than one winner)

- no savestates, savestate practices, etc during the round.

** Remap your shooting joystick input to be the same keys as your direction joystick! **
So, if your moving joy1 UP is set to "I", then set your joy2 UP to "I" as well, etc

This will make your guy always shoot in the direction he is running. You won't be able to shoot when stopped, nor of course in any direction other than the one you're facing. This really alters the strategy.

Wow, I never thought of doing that...might make the game interesting...although it's already hard enough as is I may give it an attempt, although I won't have any inp's or screenshots (except maybe with a digital camera)...I'd do it on my MAME cab, and have no easy way to transfer files.

Ble-hch. That is lame. Too much having to run back and forth every time shots or directions are missed. Have fun, though.

i found it more fun to do it the other way, up walks up but shoots down, left walks left but shoots right,etc
