AARGGHHH!! %+*@#!! Anyone help with a marquee problem???
« on: December 17, 2008, 05:16:33 pm »
I took my file to Kinko's and had it printed.  It turned out absolutely GREAT!!!  I got it home, put it in front of the light and almost cried!!  It was printed on a gloss photo paper, but the back of the paper has a small "HP" logo scattered all over the back, and you can see it through the marquee!   :banghead:  Anyone have a fix for this, or did I just throw $20 away?!?!

Take it back and demand a refund.  Then go to www.mamemarquees.com (and make sure you get it with plexi).

If not, perhaps they will give you store credit, or at the very least, paper that doesn't have the HP logo on it.

P.S. - The customer is ALWAYS right.  Remember that.  There is always someone higher up to complain to.  Regional managers, etc.

You just threw $20.00 away.  Kinko's should have transparency material they could have printed it on.  Did you tell them the idea was to backlight the product?  If so and they printed it on that paper you may have a leg to stand on in taking it back demanding a re-print on transparency material.

Sad part is.....I e-mailed Scott at mamemarqeees.com several times, and he never e-mailed me back.  I've had Scott do a few things for me, and they always turned out fabulous.  But, it seemed like my efforts to contact him went into a Black Hole.

E-mail filters are the culprit.  Here's what on the front page of his site: "We seem to be having issues with Hotmail.com and yahoo.com as far as people receiving emails.  If you are using one of these free email accounts and have a question, use my ticket system, this way you can log in and check to see if I answered. You can also add our emails to your whitelist."

;D  It all worked out !!!

I went back into Kinko's to see if they had a different Media to print on.  There was a guy working that immediately said.....THAT WAS FAVORITE GAME GROWING UP!!  I told him my dilemma, and he said give him an hour and he'll take care of it for me.....a new marquee at no charge!!!  (Plus, I got to keep the old one!!)  ;D

Glad it worked out.  Maybe you can frame the old marquee and hang it on the wall.
