What are these Cabinets?
« on: December 04, 2008, 09:49:34 pm »
I'm buying 2 empty arcade cabinets and was wondering what the cabinets actually are (game wise)...

The black and green one has a sticker on the back that states it was made in 2000 by midway other then that idk... as for the Tecmo cab i'm not sure at all sense i didn't take a very good look at it.

Any help finding out what these are would be great...

I'm pretty sure the one on the left is "The Grid" from Midway (2001).

The blue cab looks to be a Pengo. If I saw the sides up by the marquee I'd be able to tell.

Thanks for the help you guys... was wondering what they were, The Grid cab is going to be mamed and the Pengo cab will probably be as well so that Tecmo marquee is going to be up for sale along with any parts i don't need from both of them to help get them both running.

I saw those on craigslist the other day.  Do the monitors in the grid cabinets work?  Do you know if he has the other grid cabinet left?

the one on the right is a Sega/Gremlin cab most often a Pengo. It was what I mamed for my Mortal Kabinet back in the day

Which means, yooyenko, that it's a Sega cab.

I like that rounded CP bottom on the Grid cab.

I laughed. But I was just confirming you were right =)
I'll tell ya right now, theres just enough room for 2 players, dont expect a trackball in between , lol

my Mortal Kabinet when it had a Samurai Showdown theme:

and here it is with the MK theme:

Id actually like to see the Pengo restored, mine wasnt a Pengo when I got it (was converted to Terra Cresta) but Pengo is a darn fun game
