Help with Robotron bartop please
« on: October 10, 2009, 04:16:28 am »
I'm planning on starting a new project for a Robotron bartop. I basically wanna keep to the original upright design (not cabaret) but I can't find any plans or dimensions of the original cab anywhere.  :hissy:

I was wondering if some kind reader with an original Robotron cab could possibly provide me with a few dimensions please? There's only a handful of measurements, and I'm sure with this info I can accurately recreate a scaled down version for a bartop design.

Of course I will need to keep the joystick distances closely to what they are on a full size cab or the gameplay won't feel right. So some subtle artwork mods needed for the CP. Other than that I will go with the UK version of the artwork as I personally think it looks better. (Black side panels instead of silver and a different bezel design). I have made some MSPaint pics of the dims I'm looking for....

The white line in the second image basically follows the straight part of the bezel slope. With the top and bottom measurements from that line (C + E) I can get the bezel slope pretty accurate. The curves of the cab I will just do as best I can. I sure I can get them reasonably close.

Thanks in advance guys.   :D
