I've said this before and sincerely mean it... I really want to like these guns.  Hell...  I have tons of custom gun mods I want to do with them and being wireless is right up my alley and exactly what I am looking for!

With that said... Shouldn't a company provide working drivers of their own that actually work and not expect people to have to rely on third part drivers?  Especially third party drivers created by someone that doesn't make a dime off of it?  That's where I have a problem with HK EMS.  They want to be respected as the best but being the only real option out there (yes I know there is ActLabs, but they are expensive and only work with CRT technology)- Well  anytime there isn't any competition quality typically suffers.

It took two years for them to work out some of the problems with the original TopGun.  You'd think they'd have everything ironed out before releasing a new product.  I know there are those that disagree with me, but HK EMS does 'borrow' designs from other companies and then tries to adapt their tech to that design.  I have no problem with that if it works, or if the price is reasonable.

If these were $29.99 then I'd have no problems with them and some 'minor' (often major though) issues because the price isn't outrageous.  At an average cost of around double that, yes I do expect the product to work right out of the box...and yes with manufactures drivers.  Is that really too much to expect?

These guns do interest me though and I hope HK EMS fixes the bugs and a lot faster than before.  If they get these up and running reliably and easy to setup, I'll shout from the mountains and stand behind them! :)
I don't think people should have to pay for products that aren't ready for commercial use and front the money for R&D to get the product working.  It should work out of the box.

Are they offering any support (other than saying use Smog's drivers, which basically was their only support on the original Topgun) or refunds for guns that don't work?

Please don't get me wrong.  If thier products worked out of the box they'd be great.  But would anyone buy a DVD player that didn't work and when you call the company they tell you to use a firmware update that another person or company developed that may or may not work?  Most likely not, eveyone I know would opt to just buy something that worked right in the first place, but we don't have that option.  The amazing thing is they actually won awards for their guns!

Competition is good, but right now there is no serious competion in this market.

Guys I'm not being too hard or busting on them just for the sake of busting on a company.  When I spend my money on something I really do expect it to work and work as advertised.  I don't fawn over a company that their product semi sorta works and only after jumping through hoops and using third party software just to get their product running... see where I'm coming from?  Again if this was something in the $20-$30 range I probably wouldn't hold it to super high standards, but with shipping, these guns aren't exactly cheap or throw away items, so yes I expect them to work and work well.  Add to that EMS won awards for thier guns... either the award is trumped up, or it is just because there is no real competition.

I have one of the original guns and am one of those that got a gun that didn't work right.  I spent a lot of money on it and based on my experience I'm reluctant to give them any more of my money until I feel they have a quality product in each and every item they ship.  Last thing I'll say and ask-  If you come in first place in a race, but you're the only one in the race... is that really something to brag about?

Hmm, this one must be exactly the same product. It is located at pc gaming but it seems it's just for PS and xbox. I can't find any detailed pictures but i think it's just a relabeled product from some Chinese manufacturer. The only difference is that i can find these for 14-20 euro's  :dizzy:

I bet the drivers of the topgun will work with this thing, it has usb.
It says a lot about the price of the topgun.

Edit:

Big mouth, it just works on crt. It has a regular receiver.
