Golden Tee 97 Trackball wiring
« on: June 18, 2003, 04:27:41 pm »
I'm converting a jamma cabinet to golden tee 97. i bought a happ trackball, it has a 6 pin connector, I have the pinout of the connector, but I dont know how to wire it to the game. Do I wire it into the jamma harness or do I wire it to the four pin connector on the pcb that says trackball or what, any help appreciated.

It goes to the 4 pin connector, not the harness. You'll need an adaptor or a pin out to make one yourself.  I think the IT web site has pinouts or you can search google.

My Mistake, its a 6 pin connector on the pcb board and you can order a harness from www.gatorcade.com . I went to radio shack to buy a 6 pin plug on the pcb side but all they sell now is cellphones and overpriced compaq computers, (and a few fuses)

not sure where you are from but check somewhere like Fry's electronics. In my travels with the military, there always seems to be some type of super electronic stores, you just need to look them up.

radio shack...well sux, their selection sux, but at least they hire people that know nothing about what they sell  ::)

anyhow, in case you don't know, the yellow and green wires on the trackball are the "y" optic board, the blue and purple are the "x" optic board the red 5v and blk gnd for both boards wire to common pins at the molex that plugs to the PCB.
