SOLD!: Midway Spy Hunter Power Supply Board, Working
« on: November 21, 2008, 03:00:13 pm »
Howdy-

For sale: 1 Midway "POWER SUPPLY 125VA W/CKT SUPPORT" board pulled from a working upright Spy Hunter.

I *believe* that this board is also used in other Midway games from this era: Tron, Discs of Tron, Tapper, Timber, & Two Tigers.

Includes the 4 plastic brackets to offset-mount it in your cabinet.

How about $10 + shipping?  Located in Pasadena, CA.

Now, if you've been following my other thread about fixing up my Spy Hunter, you may be thinking "Hey, didn't he replace this because it was broken?" Nope. Long story short:
1 - SH made terrible humming noises
2 - I bought 2 big replacement power chassis caps & a switcher PS replacement kit from arcadeshop.com
3 - I swapped the 2 power chassis caps & the sound cleared up & the game played fine, *with this power supply board for sale still in the game*
4 - Since I'd also bought the switcher PS kit, I figured I might as well install it anyway, even though this PS board was working.

Thanks!
-Jason

I always found that confusing, esp. when the items are in very different categories, & there's only so much space in the subject heading...

Sorry for any annoyance.  :]

Thanks,
-J
