I am in the final steps of building my cab, and I am confused as to how to wire a microswitch button to the motherboard (in order to power the PC on/off). The problem is that the piece that connects to the motherboard accepts "pin" connectors, and I'm not sure how the two wires coming from the microswitch would attach to this. Furthermore, since I am building a bartop (which means my PC is not cased inside a tower), I do not have those harness wires that are typically attached to the power button inside a tower.
The only solution that I can think of is to track down one of those harness wires (don't know where to find one, though), splice it to the wires coming from the microswitch, and then connect in to the motherboard. Does that sould like a possible solution?
Something tells me that stripping the other ends of the mircoswitch wires, and physically sticking them into the "pin" connector holes, would probably not work, right?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
