Ultimarc LED Harness
« on: November 10, 2008, 01:34:00 pm »
I am considering buying the LED harness for my IPAC2, with the understanding that some games use the LED function (I'd rather incorporate this relatively inexpensive component into my CP now than later, when I decide I really need one and the CP is already built).  I've searched on the Forum and on the net in general for some good info on what games use LED functions and what those functions are.  Any information, a list perhaps, would be appreciated; I am trying to label everything in my CP, and if I can appropriately label them based on what I learn, that would be great.

I believe the IPAC LED harness only supports the 3 keyboard LEDs that MAME blinks (numlock, capslock, and scrolllock). The vast majority of games that blink only use numlock and capslock to simulate player 1 and 2 start button blinking.  The LEDs in the harness are also not superbrights, so keep that in mind if you are planning on putting them underneath pushbuttons.
