....without having to take the whole thing apart.

I guess what I'm looking for is like a MagStik with a top-fire button.

Does something like this exist?

I think the OP is looking for a fire button on top, not just the switchable function on top. Try searching the forums. There have been many discussions about mods for top-fire sticks. I believe Happ has the only stock top-fire, but it isn't switchable.
To game, or not to game...what kind of question is that!?

I did find this one:

Seimitsu LSX-31

It's 2/4/8 way switch-able, but I don't know how (pull & turn/cam/lever/take apart)...

I'll ask about it on the main page.
