You will need Mame64 running on an overclocked Dual Core (4 Ghz) with a 64 bit OS like Vista64 or XP 64.

See the 4Ghz Core 2 Duo vs M.A.M.E. 0.120 (benchmark results) thread to see the benchmark results and what to expect.

I get about ~90% running NFL Blitz '99 on a Dual Core E8400 running at it's regular 3 Ghz (ie. Not overclocked) and the sound stutters. This is running Mame64 on XP 64.

even with a OC'd PC you will still not be able to play with fog on  :-[ That's why I bought the boards  also emulation is inaccurate for 99 & 2k. You will not be able to play and beat every team if you put your initals in for recordkeeping. There is a bug posted over at Mametesters for this.

There is always nulldc though, which is a dreamcast emulator. If you were tricky about it you could always have your frontend trigger nulldc for games that do not perform well in mame. The cool thing about the games in null dc is they run almost perfectly!

null dc games that I play

Blitz
Gauntlet
Marvel vs capcom 2
