this is a very solid joystick it is an 8way stick with four microswitches plus a trigger button and 1 or 2 thumb buttonsit is not usb you need to hook up the microswitches to your Ipacyou can usually get a better price from someone like Divemaster over in the buy sell trade threadwhat is your primary use for this going to be?
The extra button IS used in DOT. Personally, I wanted to be sure I had extra, so I got me the model that has two big orange/red buttons encased in the housing. It was NOS and I found it on ebay, I think for $40 shipped, and suggest you look there.
NOS stands for new old stock. It is stuff that was manufactured a while ago but was never used. So it is in new condition but isn't really "new" per se
Yes I know the extra single button is used for DOT but I was thinking of getting the extra 2 buttons + trigger..... can't think of a game that uses the 2 buttons with trigger but just didn;t want to limit myself....

M.A.C.H. 3 needs only 2 buttons, according to MAWS: http://www.mameworld.net/maws/ (search on "mach3" & "usvsthem"). 2 buttons are guns & bombs for overhead view segments, guns & missiles for behind-the-plane segments. It came out in 83, & Us Vs. Them came out in 84, as a conversion kit for M.A.C.H. 3.Odd that the image on klov.com shows a 3-button stick on M.A.C.H. 3...wonder how the buttons are mapped? M.A.C.H. 3 had the 3 button-stick, since it needed only 2...perhaps Mylstar had the foresight to figure that they might want a 3-button stick for a future kit...?-Jason
MACH 3 just had both hooked up for bombs/missles. I don't recall Us vs THEM using them differently.

Required (or at least handy) for some stages.-J
