Wanted: Buck Rogers Pinball Back Glass reproduction

I have a Buck Rogers pinball machine that needs a new backglass.  The current one has alot of paint flaking off of it.  I know the back glass gets pretty hot with the bulbs behind it but can a paper print out be put behind the original to help mask the flaked off areas?

Can someone make or may already have the backglass in a Adobe Illistrator file that I can print or have printed?  I can't even find a used backglass for sale anywhere,

Here is the only thing I can find, but I am unsure if I enlarge it to the size of the backglass, if it will distort and look like crap..

I would be willing to bet that there is most likely anyone on this forum that does have it. If you are going to do this right I would recommend seeing if there is anyone that you could go and take a ton of photos of their machine, along with a really good scan of your original and a very heavy amount of graphic work produce a reproduction of it. Id love to have some fun with the files if you do get around to doing it.

i'll take some pictures of mine tonight.  I'll try to do many pictures upclose that can be mended together as one big image.  Mine is intact, it just needs alot of touch up work.  I thought that the image in the previous post could be used as a reference to fix the images of mine.  If you can take my images and fix the places that are chipped away in photoshop or something, then resave it as a large image so I can have it re-printed, that would be friggin awesome.

I can't find a back glass anywhere for Buck Rogers.

Better yet, if any one here has a good Buck Rogers back glass, can you take alot of upclose images so that they can be put together so I can print me a backglass from that?

we had a bad water leak in my basement, sorry for the lack.. messy wet drywall and soaked carpet.  thank goodness it didnt get my bigscreen or the piano...Been cleaning up from that and getting the supplies to repair the ceiling.

Woah, im very sorry to hear that:-(. Its good to hear your allright though! So in order to get started, you may want to see if there is anyone in town with a massive flat bed scanner that can scan that at a high dpi, then I'll give ya a ftp to send em to so we can get moving.

And if it will make you feel better, even Tim Arnold's Buck Roger's backglass is horribly flaked on the queen.

yup, makes me feel better...  i had an idea if i could get a graphic image the size of the back glass, then use tile print, print it all on 8.5 x 11 paper and tape it all together and put it behind my glass then put plexi behind that to keep the paper from heating up.. i think it would look ok and blend the colors in good..

I am still looking for a Buck Rogers backglass that is in better shape than mine.  I found one that I think is good, but the guy wont ship it....

I'd say try the visual pinball forums. They managed to build a table of it, and they image that is in the file looks really good. I would just see if you could get the files he used to get a translite ie - backlit polycarbonate print done for you.

I had a guy email me and said he had one in his warehouse and would verify condition but he said it was in really good shape.  He said $175 shipped from Canada to my home.  I am going to get this one after he emails me the picture and condition of it..
