I just noticed this. Since the lines come in toward the "A" in arcade from the left, on the right, it makes it look like it could be read as Arcade 89, instead of 82 (by some people). I didn't notice it the first time I looked (because I'd just read the topic title at that point), but this time I saw it that way.

Yeah and 1989 is just nowhere near as cool as 1982.
Examples:
1989 = Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Honey I Shrunk the Kids, Ghostbusters II.
1982 = Poltergeist, Wrath of Kahn, Porky's.
Nuff said.

1989 is the year of John Woo's The Killer, though.

hehe, its allways good when people, not involved in the project, taking a look at it.

i think that i'll make a cut between the 2 and the line in the US-version.

I bought 2 of these for promotion Retro Space at a design fair last week:

Very surprised that this colour scheme was non standard  ::)

Tried to get this design through the balloting commission for another 2 shirts, but they were bitchin like hell at spreadshirt.
Sucking 1mm rule! If you make a design with 2mm parts, and print it at 10% scale then they print 0.2mm details too. Must have been some 0.997 mm gap somewhere on a diagonal.

Maybe you can help me with the magic trick to get through at spreadshirt? Or do you enter the designs at 2x2m?

Ginsu: yeah, me too - but now that you mention it, I remember being slightly confused by such things back then. Gaples, I mean Gaplus is one (though really I can't see being confused now).

I wasn't into Poltergeist (or scary movies, really), but there was Some Kind of Hero...HEY, TRON. However, The Last Crusade was good.

Poltergeist is our Halloween night movie this year. It's a classic.

I agree, Last Crusade is good. Sure, it uses Raiders as a blueprint, but if you have to be derivitive of something, you can't go wrong with Raiders. (Crystal Skull made me appreciate Crusade even more)
