New here and just got my first cabinet
« on: October 17, 2008, 12:12:56 am »
So the title pretty much sums it up. The cabinet I just picked up is a Capcom CPS2 cab. The guy said it just needed the monitor recapped but when I cracked it open the wiring was a mess and there were two power supplies inside with both wired up and running different components so I've decided to just strip the whole thing and start from scratch.

Inside it had a Marvel vs Capcom Clash of Superheroes JAP B board on a NA A board.
He also said he had 3 other games for it that he'd sell for $50 each. So I picked them up as well and to my surprise they were all attached to A boards one of them being a JAP A board. The other games were Street Fighter Zero 2 and Marvel Superheroes both JAP boards and the other being Marvel Superheroes vs. Street Fighter NA board. I haven't tested any of these for suicide but that can be fixed either way.

I've already ordered new joysticks, buttons, and switches. Also ordered a new JAMMA harness and JAMMA Kick harness and new T-Molding. I'm also going to replace the monitor with a TV as I already have an arcade RGB to TV board to use and a spare TV that fits perfectly.

Now in the mean time its just stripping everything out and cleaning, sanding, and painting.
I'll post pics as I get them.
