More space!
« on: October 10, 2008, 11:59:02 am »
Finally got around to taking down my pool table today -- ironically, in time for
a party tonight.  Most of the party goers are parents who will be bringing their
toddlers so it made more sense to store the pool table for now and just use
the open space for toddler toys.

With it gone though, wow... I bet I could get another 4 cabs in there!

I already have 1 upright and 1 cocktail crammed in my gameroom now
w/ that pool table, and have a 4p and a racing cab in the works, maybe
now's the time consider moving them down (after the party) and start
working on them...

While I'm at it, any suggestions for a good arcade game to start
off the party with, given the crowd?  (parents + toddlers, but some
kids old enough to reach controls and play)

My neighbors daughters (aged 3 and 6) are obsessed with Mario 3 on the SNES.

Other than that i would suggest:
Marble Madness
Off the Wall
Chicken Shift (might be too difficult for small children but the kids i know seem to get a kick out of watching people lose)
Frogger
Pang
Pipe Dream
...maybe Toobin'

By far my favorite party game is Track and Field

There are a couple of threads about children friendly games around, not sure where it is though ...

My 6 year old little girl has a top three of:

Pac-Mania
Frogger
Bust-A-Move
