Shipping an arcade monitor...
« on: October 10, 2008, 01:04:37 am »
I have a small arcade monitor I want to sell yet it seems so fragile on the chassis side I'm kind of going against shipping it.
I have sold a bunch of monitors in the past but have offered local pickup only.
Are there any "tricks of the trade" on shipping monitors successfully?

bubble wrap is no way good enough
you need polystyrene that is at least 10 inches in depth with a cut out for the tube to fit snug for the base and again another piece molded to the shape of the chassis frame of the back of the tube

if you chassis frame does not have a neck protection frame then forget the whole thing as it will snap in transit
