by flatpanel i am assuming it is an lcd screen. i think you will find that cracking it open is your only option, i decased my lcd screen when it broke (it was out of warranty) and i discovered after hours of tugging prying and crying that inside were several clips that could not be opened from the outside, the manufacturers make it so that it can be sealed really easily but not opened without destroying the case so they would have to pay out less warranties, crack it open!.
being the optomistic person that i was i throught that it would simply be held together with screws and nothing more...WRONG :banghead: i could have saved hours.
take my advice.. decide whether or not you would be okay with the chance of destroying your screen and voiding the warranty before you attempt the decase.

have fun  ;D

A credit card is often enough to unsnap those without leaving marks if you need to open something like that. Just dont use a good one ;)

I do this frequently at work, and all I can say is, "Thank the Lord for the Swiss Army!" :)

Take off the stand, and gently (!) pry the two case halves apart. Look to see if there are any screws holding it together first, of course.
