**UPDATED** FS 18" LCD touchscreens LP LCD18-001 sold stil have prts 4 repairs

Let me know what you guys think. I have a few and I really like how they work but I don't know if they would be of any use for jukeboxes and such. If they are send me a pm and let me know what you think they are worth. I will have pics up soon. please don't be shocked as they are not in cases so I made a quick stand of the one I am using right now.

also just so you know the microtouch touch screen portion it serial and I have only tested it with the windows 2000 drivers.

so all are gone but my personal ones (I will experiament with a USB cord I bought to see if I can get the touchscreen to work with it instead of the serial cord that it has attached)

if I can get more should I let me know cause if there is enough interest I will bug the crap out of the place I got these from. (ie. I will at least call once a day and see if there are anymore.)

Got a couple more in but I am leaving state for the weekend friday night and there is a lot of interest in the Virtual DJ set up with the people I am going to visit so they may be gone by monday . I will be checking tonight and tomorrow to see if anyone wants any before I go.

I also have parts now to do repairs and have done a bit of work with them so I feel confident to give a warranty on them of sorts. They are still refurbished units and may have some minor cosmetic flaws but I will post pics as I get them in on a site I am setting up. I may have access to other computer parts too and may be able to offer a package deal of some sort for people wanting parts to put in a cabinet.

all monitors sold but I have parts incase anyone has one they are having trouble with and have worked on a few already (sold the ones I had that were working and put together 2 more out of parts for the same guys that are using them as virtual DJ systems.) so I have confidence I can fix just about anything on these including installing a touch screen for a broken one (broken glass swap out for non with out taking out the actual LCD unit. Although I have spare LCD parts too)
Still need to hear back on the ones I sold on here as I am still wondering what OS and what results for those OS's they got used for. how the hook ups went and all of that.

ko first two monitors were sold but the guy I got them from contacted me and let me know he found another one so that means I now am down to that one. all tested and exactly the same in every detail with touch screen and 18.1 inches and all.

well it looks like I will need to get around $115. a pm will be sent here in about a minute or 2 to the last person to buy one of these. Everyone please write me back as soon as you get your package and let me know how things are. Also check pms as I am sending a special one to each buyer right now as well. I will update this thread if I get anymore with details on everything. I may become a repairman fr this brand of touch screens too incase anyone is interested.

At $115 I might take several off of your hands.  I need to confirm that they work with linux (I'll do some digging...), and if they do - I have the ability to get into *SEVERAL* jukebox rehab projects and these screens would be perfect!

@edge yours was shipped a day late unfortunately (abscessed tooth sorry about that. it is on it's way though so you should have it Monday or Tuesday at the latest)

@Numbski I have drivers for linux that say 2.4 and 2.6 if that helps. if you need the dl site for the drivers I can save you a step searching. (there are a lot of "free" dl sites that are offering inferior garbage and trying to make you sign up  for their spam so if you go the route of searching your self look for 3M's official site and don't worry about the size of screen as they all use the same circuitry and just make you do a test at the beginning that allows the software what size your screen is.

incidentally I have been playing with virtual DJ and it works incredibly well with these screens. I just need to make a skin that works with my fat fingers better:D

got a couple more today and checked them out. Zip and I can shoot a price on shipping for them. they may be gone by monday though as I am going out of town and the Virtual DJ set up idea has drawn a lot of attention from those I am going to visit.

not sure if it took but I tried to update this as the ones I had are sold and have repairs some too so I can pretty much repair any part on these if I have the parts. I have spare parts for these types of monitors and have some others too. forgot the brand but it was like korvan or something like that (definetly started with KOR for the compnay name) and those are 19 inch instead of 18.1 inch.

I also have some 6.5 inch LCD units but these have no touch screen. other wise same set up VGA 15 pi Dsub like monitors usually have and 12 volt DC positive center power supply. they have two connectors one on the bottom and one on the side so I think that had to be to allow for rotating the install to a long wise set up instead of lengthwise. (both the Dsub and the power supply input are in two places. I have 2 of these and 2 for parts.

any ideas as to what I could use them for??? I was thinking they would make wonderfull replacements for the stickers on a Starwars stand up or cockpit game:D
