Game clips slow down scrolling
« on: September 29, 2008, 02:43:19 pm »
Hey guys i just recently downloaded the game video clip package with the hires and lores clips in it. I tried using the hi res clips this morning and when scrolling threw the menu when it comes to a game with a video clip it stops me from scrolling until the video loads which takes a couple seconds and is very anoying. I was wondering if i use the lo res clips is it going to make much of a difference and also if there was a way to make it only load the vids after i have been hovering on the games title for a couple seconds... Or really anything to speed it up would be helpful. My computer specs are
Windows XP, AMD64 3800+, 2.5GB ram, and PCI-E Arcade VGA card. Thanks guys  ;D

there's a setting for delaying a little bit before displaying the video somewhere in mala.
Just crank that number up a bit and you'll be able to scroll through the list without any problems-the video won't start until you "land" on a game selection.
