Top Arcade Games of all Time
« on: September 26, 2008, 01:51:31 pm »
Can someone tell me if there is a website or list somewhere that has the top arcade games of all time listed? I'm trying to sort out my roms and thought it would be cool to have an all time top games list like the imdb all time 250 movie list.

The biggest I've seen is a top 100. This question comes up about every 4-5 months here at BYOAC.

This is a good start...

Maybe someone here at BYOAC should take it a step further and do a top 250??

How about everyone just send in your list of favorite arcade games of all time. Make the list as big or small as you like.

top 100 is based on 2 things:

What you like
When you were born

We'd need a top 10 for every genre per year you were born and even then, people would ---smurfette--- and moan. Too many unwavering opinions and too many criteria to ever make a list people would be happy with.
If you're replying to a troll you are part of the problem.
I also need to follow this advice. Ignore or report, don't reply.

Dead right. Even if a website had compiled such a list, it would depend greatly on the interviewed audience.

Just scroll through and write down all your favourites, then filter it down as necessary.

No list is complete without Chicken Shift.

Interesting coincidence, as I just last night was thinking about the like and posted a thread on it.
