Bondoing laminate ?
« on: September 22, 2008, 02:37:29 pm »
I wonder if it would be possible to bondo the bad parts on the side of my Radar Scope/Mario Bros. cab. without removing the laminate itself. I'm hoping to either just "touch" up the bad parts or paint the entire sides (with the side-art masked).

There's a product available for repairing chips and cracks in laminate.  It's all color-matched for major brands (Formica, Wilsonart, Pionite).  I remember a user here using it years ago to very good results.  I think there's also some product you can get that will let you mix to make your own colors (since you probably have no idea who manufactured the laminate on your cab).
