I've been wanting a jukebox for ages and dont have the tools or space to build one not to mention skills altho im sure i could easily work on that.
anyway i wanted a jukebox that looks like the wurlitzer One More Time / bubbler style 40's jukeboxes that were popular in the 50's
well after searching ebay for one the thoese repo jukeboxes which stand at 1meter tall i found one
sadly it was a scam but i got my money back from it. So i kept looking but cheapest i could find was a brand new 3 cd chander one for $800 shipped
I finally found a 10 stacker cd juke that was broken the 10 stacker seem to have problems and i got it for $300
it wasnt a wurlitzer style it was a crosley style but that was fine with me i liked the domed shape of the units
So after winning it i looked at spare parts i had and i had a spare 7" touchscreen and my carpc so i went out and brought a new EEE PC and will use my old eee pc as my carpc and my old carpc as my juke pc

So the specs of the pc:
Mini Itx MII 6000e
600mhz Fanless Cpu
256mb Ram
200gb Hdd
now it might not sound powerful but it did gps music and movies at the same time perfectly

For software im just using the original winxp on the carpc and i'm using DW Jukebox / Wincab
Now i sadly didnt take many pictures for you guys so sorry in advance
The jukebox when i brought it

I went to work striping out the insides of the cab i removed the speakers, headunit and 10 stacker cd
Lucky for me everything was powered by 1 board so the neons would stay on if i left the switch on.
Once gutted i brought a Logitech x530 5.1 surround system and installed that into the lower compartments where the original speakers where
Note i didnt take any pics as i used a L bracket then cable ties to hold the speakers in place as i said no tools space and very few skills its embrassing compared to what most people here can do.
Speakers fyi

Once the speakers were done i went on to cutout the cd section and mount the LCD where the cd front plate was i also installed a 20cent coin credit button onto the original power button

I then installed the Mini itx into the jukebox.
as you will see i used more L brackets for the power supplies for the LCD and the PC (the pc is using a 40watt psu so i couldnt just wire the lcd into the psu)

Once the powersupplies were installed i mounted the mini itx inside and wired up the power for the credit button to light up.
I was originally gonna make it coin operated but there is no space for a coin bin let alone get a coin to roll anywhere
Once that was wired in i put the harddrive inside and layed it on the top of the pc to test it running.
It booted up fine i went and downloaded the dw/wincab jukebox software and tried various skins
Sadly all the skins weren't very useable on a 7" touchscreen the buttons and text were just a tad small.
So i spent a whole day changing around the cdbox4up skin to work on the 7" touchscreen and came up with this

I have just now loaded it onto the jukebox and tested it out and it works great

Below are pics of where im up to right now as of this posting

I dont know why the cam is showing it orange but its a blue and pink colour on the neon parts
Again it isn't the nicest install with most things being held up with L brackets and cable ties but it works and is strong nothing moves or will slip when the jukebox is moved or shaken so im happy with that.
I still have to workout where and how to mount the harddrive and also get another button for the otherside of the jukebox to turn the pc on and find something to fill the hole under the monitor then it will but all up and running
