TICKET PRINTING MACHINE... Interesting project?
« on: September 16, 2008, 08:20:04 am »
Okay, I'm sure I'm not as technological minded as most people here but I was wondering whether there was anyway in which I could utilise a ticket/roll printing machine? I have got hold of a transport kiosk which perfectly emulates the shape of an arcade machine. It has a built in ticket printer (which can be easily removed) but I was just wondering whether it could be utilised within MAME at all?

I was thinking perhaps as High Score receipt or something - or is this just darn stupid!? :blah: Should I just bin it?

Feedback and suggestions please!

Haha, yeah, that would be good!

I remember Arcades close to me that had those ticket machines where you collected them by competing on the machines and then traded them in for a 'prize' at the end. However, this 'prizes' consisted of 20year old Mars Bars or plastic toys. The only prizes which were any good required millions of tickets! You'd have to have lived in the Arcade and spent an utter fortune (far more than the things were worth) to get them!
