Agreed.  I thought it was funny compared to most stuff he does, but that doesn't say much.  McFarlane is the king of obvious.  His work lacks any hint of the nuance you find with The Simpsons, Beavis & Butthead, Futurama or Daria.  Family Guy is basically what Beavis & Butthead pretends to be.
