GO7 issue
« on: November 12, 2008, 10:44:25 am »
I just brought home a galaga cocktail that supposedly didn't work.
The game has no sound at all and there was a rapidly scrolling image lt to rt when I looked at it. GO7
Paid my 100.00 brought it home and with some adjustments I now have a semi decent picture.
Colors are bright and clear with very little to no burn at all.

In the process of trying to get the image dialed in I had eliminated the hor scrolling, but I see now the rt edge of the screen the image looks like this

                                                                           *          *
                                                                         *   *     *   *
                                           *****************      *  *      *
                                                                                  *

When moving the ship lt to rt
Ship on lt side of screen is squished and ship on rt side of screen is fat and image is distorted on rt
Is this a convergence issue or just pot adjustment issue.
I can post a pic later tonight but the illustration pretty much describes whats happening.
Thanks

Ken Layton

And this is after you've recapped the monitor?

Nope, not yet, I just picked her up yesterday and figured I would ask first.

Caps would help an issue like this? (image distortion)

Is it odd that just the rt side of the screen has the wave or distortion?

If it was mounted horizontally it would be the top of the screen.
