help quitting VLC with one button
« on: August 12, 2008, 04:34:00 pm »
I can't find a way to clean-quit VLC - any ideas? I've tried finding more info on Mala hotkeys but I'm a proper PC newbie and not sure what I'm doing with them.

Did manage to get zSnes to quit properly all by myself though :)

Cheers in advance,
Ian

What is VLC?  If you're talking about VLC the media player:

No change to Mala is needed.  While in VLC, Click:
Settings>Preferences>Interface>Hotkeys

Scroll down to QUIT
Make sure ALT, CTRL, SHIFT are all unchecked
Choose ESC as the key
Click SAVE

Change will not take effect until you close out of VLC.  After that, the ESC key will quit completely out of VLC.
