Spinner Help
« on: August 30, 2008, 03:25:00 pm »
I've got my spinner hooked up correctly (it moves the mouse on the desktop) but I can't set the in game controls to use the mouse.  When I enter a new input for a specific control function, it only allows key presses.  Can anyone help?

  • Yeah, owning a MAME cab only leads to owning real ones. MAME just isn't good enough. It's a gateway drug.

I assume you mean in Mame. Do you have mouse turned on in Mame? (Open mame.ini and set Mouse 1)

If that's not it, what version of MAME are you using?

You're right to assume (sorry for not specifying, thought it was a given =p).  I'm using HyperSpin at the moment, which I realize is in beta, but its overridden the mame.ini file with its own settings, and there isn't a mouse config spot in it.  But since it's just the front end and I'm still using a self-compiled version of MAME underneath, shouldn't there still be mouse support in the games themselves?  Is there a way to generate a separate config file for just mame?
