iball cp hole question
« on: June 10, 2003, 05:59:45 pm »
Hey, I just recently purchased a macally iball about two weeks ago  (only cost me $1.90 + tax) and I've been thinking of incorporating it into the desktop cp i made recently... does anyone have any idea how big the trackball hole should be? I plan on taking the board/tball out of the plastic casing and mounting it to the control panel itself... thanks for any help/suggestions

I think it's a 2-inch ball.

Where did you find it for $1.90 and do they still have any?

Ya, it's a 2-inch ball but it depends on how you mount it.

Thanks for the replies fellas  ;) I got my iball at fry's electronics in the mac section.... I was kinda sceptacle about whether it was gonna work on my win 2k/xp boxes i have but at that price I couldn't resist at least trying it... they work pretty good so I can't realy complain... my only mistake was that I should have bought the other two they had left at the store... I told one of my friends about it later but when he went he couldn't find any... they might restock (hopefully)... plus the cost of the iball at full price was $3.90 (still pretty cheap)  ;D

Don't count on them restocking.  Outpost had them on clearance where everyone but Tiger-Heli picked up a couple  ;).

Since then, they cancelled all outstanding orders because they won't be getting anymore.
