Elo 15" Align problem
« on: August 25, 2008, 08:25:17 am »
Hey guys, Ive been browsing this forum for a while now and i finally got a touchscreen to make a juke.

I have a problem...I received an ELO 15" Touchscreen, 1529L.
i hooked it up to my laptop with vista, installed drivers and it worked fine.
Hooked it up to the xp box-jukebox, had to align it, and now on the third target, upper left, when i touch it i get a long beep and the alignment program starts over again.

I hooked it back up to my laptop and the same beep happens. I have reinstalled drivers, and XP on the juke...and nothing.

The curser goes up to the top left or right when I touch the screen.

anyone know what is going on here?

- Sud

What type of touch interface does it have?  (resistive, APR, SAW, etc)

I just found out it is an APR, when I go home for lunch I will try the APR-only drivers

i had major screen envy when you said APR!  Those are sweet...

Fill us in on what happens.  If drivers don't work, I'm completely clueless.  Did you try it on another known working machine?

Good luck!

i tried 3 machines!....elo did not know what was happening.

I am guessing shipping messed up the controller?

I got another screen overnighted to me...it will be here today!

I thought there was a guide on here on how to strip down xp or something....anyone know where it is?
