  • I want to build my own arcade controls!
Hey guys,

Has anyone played Defender (or any other two-way joystick games) on a Magstick Plus, either as four- or eight-way? How does it play? If it sucks are there any tips to make it feel better?

Cheers all

I've never had a problem playing 2-way games with 4-ways or 8-ways. You generally don't ever try to hit anything but the 2-way, so you don't have the same problems that you would trying to play a 4-way game on an 8-way. I don't care for the short throw on that stick, but some people really like it.

The short throw is good and bad. I love the stick for anything but 8 way games. But for 8 way games it is much easier to land in a corner than up/down/left/right, so I more or less consider it a 4 way stick.
