How to change a 2 player rom to a 4 player one?

The rom in particular is alien vs predator. It shows controls for 4 people but I cant get 4 to play. There is no dipswitch option when you tab and I haven't seen a separate 4 person rom. What do I do?

okay, didn't notice that. But I can still only play with two people. It disables coin three when I try to put in a credit for it.

Did you go into the service menu and change the option from 1 chute to 3 chute three players?

When I hit tab, the only thing there I can change is video options. The rest are just control inputs and info.

I got it now, thanks alot. Now, I am having a problem with vendetta. It boots without a problem, but once it gets past the rom check, it seems like it restarts. The screen starts flashing and it rom checks again. Mame doesn't tell me that there is anything wrong with the romset.

According to MAWS (a great resource, by the way) the first time you run the game, the EEPROM 13B is BAD in the RAM/ROM CHECK.  Just hold down the test switch (F2) until you see the message "TEST... COMPLETE."
