Die Hard Arcade to lethal Enforcers cab?
« on: August 03, 2008, 07:03:15 pm »
I just looked at a DH Arcade cab converted to LE, rough shape, but could be sanded and polished up nicely. Shell is complete, no harness or pcbs to worry about. Thoughts for a mame cab? I don't need a second, but I might help a friend. Monitor works, but is scratched so a new Betson would be fine.  CP isn't super amenable to mame with those center mounted coin slots, but could be worked. Oh yeah, it's 50 bucks and 2 miles away. Thoughts?

Definitely get it for 50$.  The top mounted coin slots just give it character and uniqueness.

I would love to have a cab like that for a MAME cab.   The metal control panel could be replaced with a machine one with seven buttons holes per player for a standard layout like you see on vewlix cabinets.  Then it would be a very very nice machine for playing classics, fighting games, beat em ups, shmups, puzzles, and other joystick + buttons games.

Plus, it it has been converted in a nice way you will still have the guns and mounts from Lethal Enforcers to use for lightgun games.  Surely they can be adapted to MAME in some way.

I seriously considered it, but it's a 25" curved monitor and I don't seem to be able to find a good digital 25" to replace it with. No fun fiddling with knobs between games. Ah well, still a cool shape and material
