Started my juke box project
« on: August 03, 2008, 05:28:03 pm »
Well after reading here for a while I've finally decided to start on my own.

After a great deal of searching around I found myself an old console stereo that looks like it escaped from the 60's.  It powered up and it had an aux input on it so I think I'll just connect my audio output from the computer to that and use it's controls for the volume and such.

I'll try to get some pictures once I get under way on this.

So far I plan on pulling out the turn table as it does not work and putting a touch screen in it's place. Other than that I think I can replace the old dead paper speakers with some newer car speakers.  I would like to run a powered sub inside of it as well.

Anyhow I've not got much done but I would have never worked up the nerve to try such a thing if it were not for everyone here.
