Actually, other than the terrible quality of the freeze frames of her, all of the artwork I found with Daphne is kinda anime or sleezy, but she needs a new look and makeover anyway...

Can't remember where I read it, but I do remember reading that the animators used multiple Playboy centerfolds as inspiration for Daphne's...shall we say...attributes.

Again, not sure if it was BS or not, but I did read it in a DL article.

First, I didnt do anything. Cut, paste, layers & photoshop. Daphne, Singe & Dirk are all fanart. If you dont like it, than dont download it, print it or put it on your cabs...

Hate is too strong of a word. I don't hate anyone....it's entirely too taxing on the soul. As for the artwork, I was serious...it looks nice. That said, is this going to be a dedicated DL or a Daphne cab? If the latter, perhaps you should incorporate SA characters/themes?

That is true. As I recall Daphne was based on Hugh Heff's wife Miss 1978 I believe, but don't quote me on the year. I think you can still tell the "Disney" influence leaked into both Daphne and Kimmy. Price you pay I guess for years slaving away for "Uncle Walt"

Well, I have a 34" VGA monitor and when I was like 8, I remember my home town arcade had Dragon's Lair in a showcase cab, the monitor was huge to me since I was 8. I was thinking, and ONLY THINKING, about doing a Dragon's Lair dedicated for my showcase. But Im sure I'll get some flack because it might be a waste of a cab for such a game.

I was going to have the cp only half the size of the full size 4 player. Use cheesy & huge buttons... Sadly, theres not many places for artwork on a showcase....

What do you guys think? Dragon's Lair in a showcase?

Sounds like a waste of a showcase. Though the game holds a warm spot in our hearts, it's not very good and not all that replayable. I like the sequel and Space Ace better than the first, but if I had a showcase, it would be for 2-4 player gaming.

Thanks Ginsu, I am very stressed over this showcase. The monitor is a fixed 800X600 med rez, so most newer fighting games look like crap, thats why I wanted to go with Dragons Lair. But I agree, it is a waste of cab...

What about a Mortal Kombat trilogy theme for the showcase....?

Saint, at the time, I was going to build a showcase cab Dragon's Lair, but have since changed my mind, thanks to a bunch of enfluence here within the forums. And I forgot the measurements. However, the zip file has the panel in it and if you open it up in Phtoshop, it will be at 100% resolution and will have the exact measurements. I can redo it for you and size it up for you if you would pm me your measurements....

Was wondering if you want the newer pimped out Daphne or the older one?

For some reason, I feel like I need to redo the whole panel anyway, it feels incomplete to me...
