I really hoped that Tron would escape the crappy-make-a-quick-buck-by-tapping-into-the-adult-youth-from-the-80's thing.

Tron set a really high bar. I guess I'll have to take your advice and set my expectations pretty low. 

What's next? Goonies II? The Black Hole: The other side? E.T. vs. Mac? Night of the Comet 2: Halley's Revenge?

I heard Sean Astin on the radio a few months ago and he mentioned Goonies 2.  Didn't catch all of it but I think it was along the lines that the original cast is old enough to have kids, viewers are old enough to have kids, so it would be a good time to do it...

Also a lame title, but it's also not a sequal, it was the original name for the movie, not a lame way to put the fact that it's a sequal into one word.  Seven 7 doesn't work, but even you called it Tron 2.

I think that Tron 2 might be better than we think.  With the current technology, the movie could be a pleasant surprise...

According to what I've read, this is more "proof-of-concept" than trailer.  Made to show what they can do, not necessarily what they will do.

I saw Wargames; The Dead Code last week and it didn't nearly suck as much as I feared it would do. Sure it wasn't the original but it wasn't Star Wars ep. 1 either. So I don't mind remakes as long as they don't hype them too much.

I'll put in my vote right now and say that it was friggin awesome! Wish I could see it in HD. Plus Flynn's back, I wonder if he's omnipotent or if he's just what the MCP program looks like now? I hope they develop it.
