LED PUSHBUTTON HELP !!!
« on: July 21, 2008, 01:38:44 am »
Hello fellow members,

I am building a Naomi 1 based Marvel VS Capcom 2 cabinet. I plan to use these LED pushbuttons I purchased off ultimarc.com. I was wondering on how I can run them on my set up? If I was going the Mame route, I would use the LED Wiz but for the Naomi, I'm quite unsure.

Thanks for reading!

What do you want to do with them, just light them? If so you just need to provide them with a 12v source. I dont know if there is a 12v point you can tap into from your system. If not you could just scavenge a PC PSU and take the power from one of the 12v yellow molex's.

  • Yeah, owning a MAME cab only leads to owning real ones. MAME just isn't good enough. It's a gateway drug.

Exactly what Franco said.

Have you seen my review of Ultralux pushbuttons from yesterday?

After reading your review I see Ultimarc does a 5v version too, I had a quick look at the product page when I saw the OP post and for some reason I only saw the 12v info

If you are using the 5v versions either tap 5v from your system or use the red 5v from a PSU molex.

I have the 5 volt one actually :)

I'm trying to get it to run like this guy from here http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=69968.200

I would like it to light up when activated, not have it run all the time.

Hey Johny my PM to you must have gotten lost.  I have been in Lima, Peru the last 2 1/2 weeks so my internet connection hasn't been all that good.  I am back home in the states so shoot me an email to kaytrimskustoms@gmail.com and I'll get you set up with the 12 button version of my board.

TTFN

p.s. Thanks Franco...
