Defender and Stargate together...
« on: July 19, 2008, 04:55:04 pm »
Is there a way to combine a Defender and Stargate board in one defender cabinet?  I know that several people/companies sell multiJamma adapters, but is there one for Williams boards?

Second question:  Is it sacriligious to drill a new hole in the original Defender control panel to acomodate the Invisible button of stargate should I want to swap the boards out?

Thanks!

I went to that website and it appears that those boards are no longer in production and are no longer availalbe.  Is there another solution?  Possibly one I could wire together myself?

I already have both a working stargate board and a defender board, just trying to figure out how to configure.

Well, I don't really know much about williams boards or cabinets, but I have heard of Williams to Jamma to adapters.  So mayber 2 adapters plus 1 multi jamma selector would work?

Or you could just build the selector yourself.  I'm sure some of the guys on this board could give you the pinouts.

About the button:  I would not drill a new hole.  I would put away the original control panel and make a new one that has the extra button.  That way you can have clean conscience and play the games the way you want to.

Does anyone know of a ready built Williams to jamma adapter?  Or has anyone done this before?

That is a good idea about the control panel.  Lotsa work, but a very good idea!
