Optiwiz + Turbo Twist 2 device number question
« on: July 17, 2008, 07:45:07 pm »
I have a Turbo Twist 2 spinner that I ordered as device number 1.  I recently purchased a trackball and I would like to use the Optiwiz interface with it.  I'm not sure if I can use device number 1 with this as well, or if I need to order it with a different device number.  The only reason I am concerned is I believe the TT2 uses a version of the Optiwiz as well and I don't want conflicting devices.  I tried emailing Randy, but I'm sure he is quite busy.

Thanks,

Dave

Nevermind.  They can both be ordered as device 1.

You know, you don't need a second interface. Use the X-Y axis for the trackball, and the Z for the spinner. You will have to recompile Mame to support a less sensitive Z axis, but then you can save some cash...

Thanks for that Havoc.  It is good advice and I wish I had thought of that ahead of time.  I had the spinner first and then found a deal too good to pass up on a trackball, so I didn't have the Optiwiz to use with the spinner originally.
